YOU GUYS! All I can say about my life lately is that… single-momming is HARD. I don’t know how people do it for like, EIGHTEEN YEARS, never mind a few months. And financially support themselves on top of that. Props. All the props. Meanwhile, I’m over here drowning in a sea of toys and laundry and toys and dishes and OMG, ALL THE TOYS. Do they ever learn to put things away? Just wondering.
This deployment is… yeah… kind of kicking my butt. So… cooking. HAHA! What’s that? Thank you eggs for being my sole source of easy sustenance lately. Panera, I’d probably die without you. Oh, and coffee. Which totally counts as cooking these days.
Something else I actually manage to make weekly… Baked Oatmeal! It’s so easy, and somehow I haven’t gotten sick of it! Plus, the baby gobbles it up too, so that’s a win. I’ve made a zillion flavor combinations lately– basically I use whatever fruit the babe is into that week, plus or minus some chocolate chips– so I thought it might be fun to round up a few of my favorites!
