Guys. Have you seen my new site yet? If you are reading this in an email or RSS feed, click over to Jess Fuel right now and check it out. I am so excited about it! It took a TON of work (probably a lot more than it actually seems like, or should have), but I’m really pleased with the final result. Which isn’t actually the final result, because it’s still a work in progress. A few more tweaks here and there, perhaps. I’m especially pleased with my new recipe index, which is way more fun and pretty than the old text-only list. Wahoo!
Anyhow, tomorrow is St. Patrick’s Day. I wasn’t really planning on making anything fun this year, seeing as how it’s on a Monday and all— the least fun day of the week. But then, as I was perusing the aisles of the grocery store, I stumbled upon a box of Lucky Charms with only clover marshmallows, and I immediately put it in my basket. I’m a marketer’s dream.
And so, Lucky Shamrock Krispie Treats were born.
Lucky Charms Marshmallow Treats
- 3 tbsp butter
- 4 cups mini marshmallows
- 6 cups Lucky Charms
Melt the butter in a large pot over medium-low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until melted. Remove from heat and stir in Lucky Charms. Mix until evenly coated. Pour mixture into a nonstick-sprayed 9×13 pan. Press mixture down into pan using a nonstick-sprayed piece of wax paper. Let cool completely before cutting.
Check out these other fun St. Patty’s recipes, too!
Hope you have a fun– and GREEN— Monday! I’ll be wearing my shamrock socks, but wishing I was drinking green beer. If you have any thoughts about the new site, or any suggestions, please let me know!
Those look good! How’d they turn out? I love the blog btw!
Thanks! 🙂 They came out awesome… my college cafeteria used to make krispie treats out of Lucky Charms and I loved them… but this is the first time I’ve tried!
The blog looks great! The new look is very chic!
I’m a sucker for all kinds of krispie treats. I made so many for Stephen the last time he was deployed, I think he has zero interest in me sending more, but these look so fun! If he doesn’t want any, I guess I might just make a batch and eat them all myself. 😉
where are the bailey’s brownings? The whole-can-of-frosting ones?? The site looks awesome! Congrats!
The new site looks SO good! And so do these krispie treats . YUM! Do you deliver? =)
Your blog is so cute Jess! I love your name too. Perfect for a Navy wife. Obsessed! Did you do all the design yourself? I’m impressed! I had to hire someone to do all of mine.
This lucky charms rice crispie treats are such a good idea! Perfect St. Paddy’s day treat : )
And thanks for commenting on my blog, because now I’ve found your blog! Can’t wait to see what you’ll be cooking up next : )
A lot of the design is premade, and the rest is thanks to my tech-savvy hubby. I’m pretty useless when it comes to we design, but I’m trying!
Love the new site! Looks awesome 🙂 Love the twist on Rice Krispies Treats too!
