Veteran’s Day at Baskin-Robbins

November 10, 2015 by jessfuel 4 Comments

Hey friends! Do you all remember that Veteran’s Day is tomorrow?! Being a military family, we know a lot of veterans. And even more future veterans. So this is a holiday that really means a lot more to me than say, Labor Day or Presidents Day, which– let’s be real– are really just excuses for BBQ’s and ski trips.

But Veteran’s Day is an important one and it’s a great time to think about and remember all the sacrifices our veterans (and active duty) have made for us (and are currently making for us).

Wedding

I’m always very thankful and appreciative when companies support veterans and military families. One of those companies just happens to be one of my favorites– Baskin-Robbins! I mean, who doesn’t love ice cream? I worked at an ice cream shop for nearly 10 years. You’d think I’d be sick of the stuff, but you know what? I think it only intensified my love! I’m in the mood for ice cream every day, all year round, even in the middle of a snowstorm.

Tomorrow, for Veteran’s Day 2015, Baskin-Robbins is teaming up with the USO. Baskin-Robbins will donate 11 cents from every ice cream scoop sold on Veteran’s Day to the USO in honor of all service members, veterans and their families

The USO strengthens America’s military service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country, throughout their service to the nation. For nearly 75 years, the USO, a private, nonprofit organization, has served the men and women in the U.S. military and their families throughout their service – from the moment they join, through their deployments and as they transition back to their communities. Learn more about the USO at uso.org.

I hit up Baskin-Robbins just the other day with a friend for my favorite– mint chip! I will definitely be going back tomorrow to support the veterans! What better way to spend a day off of work?

Baskin-Robbins will also celebrate the military community all month long with a special Camouflage Waffle Cone and Waffle Bowl, which are decorated green, brown and tan.

Baskin-Robbins Camouflage Cone

Guests can enjoy these freshly-baked waffle cones with any of their favorite Baskin-Robbins ice cream flavors, including classics like Pralines ‘n Cream, Rocky Road and seasonal favorites like Pumpkin Cheesecake, Chocolate Almond and Fudge Brownie.

So… what’s YOUR favorite flavor? How will you be spending Veteran’s Day?

We totally support the troops whenever we can and appreciate the sacrifices these men and women make every day! What a beautiful wedding photo, too, BTW. 🙂 I’m loving that camouflage cone!
