Saving Dough with Walmart Savings Catcher #WMTSavingsCatcher

October 13, 2014 by jessfuel 4 Comments

I shopped savvy using Walmart Savings Catcher, as part of a sponsored post for Crowdtap #WMTSavingsCatcher.

Have you guys heard of Walmart’s Savings Catcher? It’s a really easy way to save money on groceries and household products you are already buying! Since we cook at home so often, we spend a lot on groceries. I used to be really good about using coupons, but I just don’t have time to look for them anymore. Savings Catcher is so much easier than clipping coupons!

Basically Walmart Savings Catcher compares the prices of Walmart’s items to the prices of the same items of all the stores in the surrounding area. If another store near you is selling the item for less, Walmart will refund you the difference! No more searching store ads and driving to different stores for different prices. You can get the lowest prices on all your items in one spot.

I wanted to try Savings Catcher, so I went to Walmart and loaded up my cart with groceries.

We checked out and were on our way.

There are two ways to use Savings Catcher. You can enter your receipt on their website, or you can download the super convenient Walmart app on your phone and scan in your receipt anywhere! The app will scan either the bar code or the QR code.

I scanned my receipt as soon as I got in the car, and Walmart found 29 competitor stores to compare their prices to.

A few days later, I received an email with my results. I saved $4.32! For basically doing nothing. Gotta love free money.

Savings Catcher even shows you what you saved money on.

Now I can cash out my savings and buy something else! If I save about this much each week during my normal grocery trips, that’s about $225 each year of FREE money. Pretty good considering how easy it is to use Savings Catcher. It’s always nice to have some extra cash at the end of the year for holiday shopping!!

LOVE this post Jess! I am doing this ASAP. I’ve known about the Walmart name your price deal for a long time but the thought of dragging in all the other local circulars and comparing the prices , then it brining up to the register seemed like such a hassle. This is soo easy! Thank you for sharing this {my hubby thanks you too ๐Ÿ™‚
