Horse Cupcakes

Horse Cupcakes

Alright people, how adorable are these? Horses are up there with birds on my list of animals I kinda sorta wish were extinct, but I can’t deny how cute the Nutter Butter version is!

While I may not be much of a horse fan (slash, they scare me with their gigantic creepiness), my boss loves them and last week was her birthday! She recently got to meet California Chrome, the Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner. CC is from a little, middle-of-nowhere town about 45 minutes from where we live. A couple weeks ago he was “home” for some R&R and she got to go meet him.  When her birthday rolled around the next week, I thought it would be fun to incorporate horses into her cupcakes!

Horse Cupcakes

I can’t take much credit for this idea… I Googled “horse cupcakes” and chose the cutest and easiest ones I found! Check out the original post on these here. They’re really easy and were a lot more successful than I expected them to be!

All you need is frosted cupcakes, Nutter Butters, cashews, black icing and candy eyes. You can buy the candy eyes year round on Amazon, or check your grocery store or craft store during Halloween season!

Horse Cupcakes

I cheated and used a box of cake mix and premade frosting, but the horses were a huge hit and everyone loved the cupcakes. These couldn’t have been easier. Neiiighhhhh!!!

These are so cute. I don’t mind horses though they make me a bit nervous. But I am so with you on the birds.

Adorable! Food tastes even better when it’s cute food. I especially love the little ears. And I’m really curious why you don’t like horses. They’re just like big dogs.

They’re just too big and strong with tiny brains… I don’t trust them! But to be honest… I don’t necessarily trust all big dogs that I don’t know either!
