St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner, and although I’ve only been blogging a year or so, I seem to have amassed quite the collection of festive recipes. So I thought I’d share them all… just in case you’re looking for something to celebrate with!
Sweet Green Treats!
Traditional Irish Fare
Nick and I celebrated the international drinking holiday this past weekend in Pensacola. Last year, we did a St. Patty’s Day 5K at our favorite Irish pub, Maguire’s, and we had so much fun that we decided to do it again this year!
We went all out with the green outfits, including a homemade tutu I was very proud of!
After the run, we kicked off the morning right with some Irish Wakes:
These things will kick your butt, but are sooooo yummy. I was able to find the recipe online here!
Maguire’s Irish Wake Recipe
- 1.5 oz Bacardi Light Rum
- 1.5 oz Bacardi Gold Rum
- 1.5 oz Blue Curaçao
- 1 oz Bacardi 151
- Fresh squeezed orange juice
Combine liquors in a 32 oz jar (or glass) filled with ice. Top with OJ. Stir everything together. Enjoy!
Dangerous but delicious!
We had a great weekend full of old friends, new friends, and all our old favorite Pensacola haunts. I came home on Sunday and cooked up a corned beef… I plan to celebrate all week long! 😉
